Admission Policy for DeBrights’ International School
1. General Information:
DeBrights’ International School welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities. Our admission policy aims to ensure a fair and transparent process while considering the best interests of each student and the school community as a whole. The following admission policy outlines the procedures and requirements for each category: Kindergarten, Day Care, Elementary, Primary, and After School Programs.
2. Kindergarten Admission:
a. Eligibility: Children between the ages of 2 and 5 are eligible for Kindergarten admission.
b. Application Process:
i. Parents/guardians must complete the application form and submit it along with the required documents, including the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and any previous educational records (if applicable).
ii. An informal interview or assessment may be conducted to assess the child’s readiness for Kindergarten.
3. Day Care Admission:
a. Eligibility: Children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years are eligible for Day Care admission.
b. Application Process:
i. Parents/guardians must complete the application form and submit it along with the required documents, including the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and medical history.
ii. Enrollment in the Day Care program is subject to availability due to limited capacity.
4. Elementary and Primary Admission:
a. Eligibility: Elementary and Primary programs are open to students from Grades 1 to 6.
b. Application Process:
i. Parents/guardians must complete the application form and submit it along with the required documents, including the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and previous academic records.
ii. The applicant may be required to undergo an assessment or entrance examination to determine their readiness for the grade level.
5. After School Programs Admission:
a. Eligibility: After School Programs are open to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
b. Application Process:
i. Parents/guardians must complete the application form and indicate the desired After School Program(s) for their child.
ii. Enrollment in the After School Programs is subject to availability due to limited slots.
6. Acceptance Criteria:
a. DeBrights’ International School strives to maintain a balanced student body in terms of academic abilities, diversity, and special educational needs.
b. Admissions are based on space availability, meeting the eligibility criteria, and the student’s ability to benefit from the educational programs offered by the school.
7. Admission Decision:
a. The admission decision is made by the school’s admission committee, considering all relevant factors and available spaces.
b. Applicants will be notified of the admission decision in writing or via email.
8. Enrollment:
a. Upon receiving an offer of admission, parents/guardians must complete the enrollment process by submitting the required documents, paying the enrollment fee, and signing the enrollment agreement.
b. Failure to complete the enrollment process within the specified timeframe may result in the withdrawal of the admission offer.
